Made with ripe bananas and simple ingredients, Banana Bread is a comforting classic that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or any time of day. Fluffy, moist, and full of flavor!
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup (80 ml) melted butter
3/4 cup (150 g) sugar (you can use less if you prefer it less sweet)
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
Optional:
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, chopped chocolate, or chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas with melted butter.
Add the sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix well.
Add the baking soda, salt and flour. Mix until incorporated, without over-beating.
If desired, add cinnamon, nuts or chocolate to the batter.
Pour into the pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
Extra tip:
The riper (almost black) the bananas are, the sweeter and more aromatic the bread will be.
Delicious plain, with butter or with coffee!
